Acceptance Of Client
Priority Care accepts clients according to the following policies, consistent with the state of Florida regulations:
The clients will be informed by the registry personnel upon having been accepted for health services, that those services will be provided adequately and safely in their residence for their convenience and comfort and as defined in a specific medical plan of treatment per client.
During the process of being accepted for services the client will be advised of their right to report abuse, neglect, or exploitation by calling the following toll-free telephone number: 1-800-962-2873.
The client will also be advised of the right to report a complaint regarding the services received and the right to report suspected Medicaid fraud by calling 1-888-419-3456.
The agency (Agency for Health Care Administration) description of Medicaid fraud is as follows:
Medicaid fraud means an intentional deception or misrepresentation made by a person with knowledge that the deception could result in an authorized benefit to him or herself or some other person. It includes any act that constitutes fraud under applicable federal or state law as it relates to Medicaid. The office of the Inspector General at the Agency of Health Care Administration accepts complaints regarding suspected fraud and abuse in the Florida Medicaid System by phone at 1-888-419-3456 or on the Agency website at: http://ahca.myflorida.com/Executive/Inspector_General/medicaid.shtml
The patient will be provided with information on Florida's Law concerning “Health Care Advance Directives"
Written Physician’s orders will be required and signed by the attending Physician when medical treatment or medication is administered. These written Physician’s orders will be maintained in the client's clinical record.
No client shall be refused services because of age, race, color, sex or national origin, pursuant to chapter 760 F.S.
